Products

Thunderlane suspension products are developed for the vehicle and intended use described in the order.

Product photographs are illustrative. Minor differences in finish, labelling, hardware or appearance may occur where they do not materially affect the product’s function or agreed specification.

Spring rates, valving, dimensions and other technical details may vary between vehicles and orders.

Customer information

You agree to provide accurate and complete information, including where requested:

  • the exact vehicle model and year;
  • engine and drivetrain configuration;
  • vehicle weight and weight distribution;
  • suspension geometry or modifications;
  • wheel and tyre specifications;
  • intended ride height;
  • intended road, track or competition use; and
  • any other information relevant to the suspension specification.

We are not responsible for an unsuitable specification where it results from incomplete, misleading or inaccurate information supplied by the customer.

We will remain responsible where the product itself is faulty, not as described or does not meet a purpose that we expressly agreed with you.

Order process

Submitting an order does not necessarily mean that it has been accepted.

A contract is formed when we send an order confirmation or otherwise confirm that we have accepted your order.

We may contact you before accepting an order to verify vehicle information, availability, pricing or technical requirements.

If we cannot accept an order, we will inform you and refund any payment taken.

Prices and payment

The price shown at checkout or stated in your quotation is the amount payable for the product and the delivery option selected.

For normal UK orders, applicable import charges are included and paid by Thunderlane UK unless expressly stated otherwise before purchase.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

Custom-made products

Many products are manufactured to individual customer specifications.

Once a custom order has entered specification, component ordering or production, it may not be possible to change or cancel it.

The Refund and Returns Policy forms part of these terms.

Lead times

The normal estimated production lead time is 4 to 6 weeks after payment, acceptance of the order and confirmation of the required specification.

Delivery time is additional.

Any date given is an estimate unless we expressly confirm in writing that it is guaranteed.

Installation

Suspension components are safety-critical products.

Products must be installed, adjusted and inspected by a suitably competent person using appropriate tools and procedures.

The installer must check:

  • component compatibility;
  • fastener condition and torque;
  • clearance throughout steering and suspension travel;
  • brake-line and sensor-wire routing;
  • ride height;
  • alignment;
  • corner weights where applicable; and
  • safe operation before the vehicle is driven.

The vehicle should receive a professional wheel alignment after installation.

Road, track and competition use

Motorsport and track use involve increased loads, wear and risk.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle remains safe, correctly maintained and compliant with applicable road, motorsport, insurance and competition requirements.

No suspension product can eliminate the risks associated with vehicle use, modification or motorsport.

Inspection and maintenance

Suspension should be inspected regularly and after any accident, impact, kerb strike or unusual event.

The customer must follow any maintenance, inspection and servicing instructions supplied with the product.

Stop using the vehicle and arrange an inspection if there is unusual noise, leakage, looseness, damage or a change in handling.

Warranty and statutory rights

Any separate manufacturer’s warranty will be described in the product information or order documentation.

A manufacturer’s warranty is additional to your statutory rights and does not replace them.

Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights where goods are faulty, not as described or unfit for a purpose agreed with us.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

We are not responsible for damage or loss caused by:

  • incorrect or unsafe installation;
  • continued use after a fault or damage becomes apparent;
  • accident or impact damage;
  • misuse or neglect;
  • unauthorised modification;
  • operation outside the confirmed specification; or
  • failure to carry out appropriate inspection and maintenance.

For consumer purchases, we are not responsible for business losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue or loss of business opportunity.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.

We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible where such an event materially affects your order.

Complaints

Contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Please include your name, order number and a clear explanation of the complaint.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.

You may bring legal proceedings in the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time.

The terms applying to your purchase will normally be those provided or made available when your order was accepted.
